Pilates

Pilates is a body-conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.

Pilates targets the deep postural muscles within the body through a series of exercises aimed at building muscle strength and rebalancing the body. These core muscles are essential for providing support for the spine.

It is excellent for improving posture, strength and flexibility and aligning the body correctly. Pilates also teaches co-ordination, concentration and control of the body.

Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and strengthen the deep torso muscles, which are important to help alleviate and prevent back pain.

Pilates is ideal for all ages as movements are slow and controlled. One-to-one, or small group sessions are available.
